Most briefings begin at a counter like this, with the extract the bookkeeper already sends on.

Weekly trading briefing

A dated set of chart plates and a short note, covering the shops you name and the comparison you actually run.

Price basis: Quoted by shop count and SKU breadth

The trading briefing is the flagship piece of work at Logic Routecore Analytics. It is for the owner, the category buyer, or the store manager who must walk into Monday with a clear view of last week’s till — not a printout of every SKU row.

Who it is for

Independent grocers, apparel rooms, hardware counters, and small chains of two to six shops in Georgia. If you already send a file to the accountant, you already have enough to start. We do not take work from a shop that cannot name the person who decides markdowns; the plates have to be read with that person in the room.

What you receive

A dated pack of chart plates (paper, or a PDF of those plates if you prefer to print them at the shop) and a written note of two to four pages. The plates show:

  • Sales by the SKU groups you name, against the comparison you choose: last week, the same week last year, or the last promotional week of the same type.
  • Lines that occupied facing but moved little.
  • Markdowns taken, and whether the remaining stock still earns its space.
  • Where you run more than one shop, a like-for-like view of the same groups, not a blended average that hides a weak room.

The sitting lasts about ninety minutes. We go through the plates in order. You leave with marked copies and a short list of decisions the floor can take that week.

What is not included

We do not install or replace a till. We do not build a login, a dashboard, or a standing software product. We do not prepare VAT returns, payroll, or supplier invoices. We do not decide your range for you; we show what the extract already says so you can decide.

If you need a one-off look at mix rather than a weekly round, the category mix review is the closer fit.

Who draws it

Analysts at the Tbilisi desk, Level 8, 31 Rustaveli Avenue. The same people who clean the extract sit with you. Work is not passed to a night shift or a nameless queue.

How the first briefing runs

  1. You send the extract, the range list, and a note of the shops to cover. Pencil marks on a printed sheet are acceptable.
  2. We spend two to three days cleaning the week, matching SKUs to the groups you care about, and raising questions where a line has two names.
  3. We draw the plates and the written note.
  4. We sit with you in the office or at the shop. If the shop is outside Tbilisi, we agree travel in the quote.
  5. After the sitting, you may ask for one revision of a plate that used the wrong grouping. Further redraws are a new fee.

A standing weekly round uses the same grouping. You send the extract on an agreed day; we return plates before the meeting you name.

Time and place

The first briefing takes five to eight working days from a usable extract. A weekly round, once grouping is settled, is drawn in two to three working days. Sittings happen Tuesday to Thursday, morning or late afternoon, so Monday trading is not interrupted.

Preparation

Name the comparison you want before we draw. If you are unsure, we use last week against the same week last year, which is the comparison most Monday meetings already argue about. Tell us which promotions ran. If a till file splits VAT in a way the bookkeeper understands and we do not, a fifteen-minute call with that bookkeeper saves a day of guessing.

Constraints

We cover one to three shops in a first briefing. A longer chain is possible later, once the grouping is trusted. We work in English and Georgian at the sitting; the written note is in English unless you ask otherwise. We will not invent a week if the extract is missing days.

Price

Quoted from shop count, SKU breadth, and whether travel to the floor is required. See Rates for starting figures and what moves a quote. A deposit holds the first sitting date.

Next step

Write to the desk with the shops you want covered and the file you already produce. We reply within two working days with questions, a quote, and the first available sitting.
