Floor walk pairing
An afternoon on the shop floor with last week’s extract in hand, matching facings to what the till recorded.
Extracts lie when a facing is empty, a price ticket is wrong, or a promotion never reached the gondola. A floor walk pairing puts last week’s figures next to the room as it stands.
One of us walks with the store manager for three to four hours. We note gaps, handwritten price changes, and stock in the back that never reached the shelf. The following week you receive plates that separate “did not sell” from “was not there to sell.”
This is not a mystery shop and not a staff review. We do not score greeters. We pair the till with the floor so the next briefing is not arguing with a hole on the bay.
